AGENDA: Creating a roadmap towards global economic recovery till 2030

ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL

ECOSOC links a diverse family of subsidiary bodies and UN entities dedicated to sustainable development, providing overall guidance and coordination. These include regional economic and social commissions, functional commissions facilitating intergovernmental discussions of major global issues, and specialized agencies, programmes and funds at work around the world to translate development commitments into real changes in people’s lives.

The world economy has faced contentious issues such as COVID-19, inflation, and debt traps, with government   spending and monetary policies in uncharted territory. Rising inequality and security challenges are particularly harmful for developing countries. Taking all these factors into account we will discuss a roadmap to global recovery for a  favorable growth path that requires concerted international action and a comprehensive set of national policy responses.
